Master of Computer Application

This programme was started in July, 1994 with a view to produce high quality information system professionals. The students of the MCA programme undergo intensive theoretical and practical training in various aspects of Computer Science and Information System development. The first batch of MCAs from the Department graduated in June, '97.

Duration:    Three years (Six semesters)

Eligibility:
  • A bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline
  • at least 50% marks in aggregate or in the major subject of the qualifying examination
  • having passed in Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.
Admission Procedure: The selection for admission to the programme will be based on an All India level Open Entrance Test to be conducted by the University. The questions will be multiple choice type. The test is of two hours duration and consists of three components
  • Logical reasoning
  • Mathematics of 10+2 level OR Computer Science (B.Sc. or BCA)
  • English Comprehension
