Presentation Guidelines
  • Each oral presentations will be of 15 minutes duration; 12 minutes for presentation followed by 3minutes for Q/A or discussion.
  • Please make sure that you have submitted your presentation slides in PowerPoint or PDF formats before the start of your session to the volunteer who will be present on that day in the presentation room at least 15 minutes before the start of the session.
  • You can also bring it earlier, during the coffee/lunch breaks of any day before your presentation. A volunteer will be at your disposal to help you upload it in the right place in order to find it easily at the time of presentation.
  • A laptop/desktop computer and LCD projector will be available in all presentation rooms. The projector will be standard resolution with a VGA connection. Speakers are not allowed to use their own laptops, avoiding useless time breaks in between papers.
  • In order to avoid any compatibility problems, read carefully the instructions below.
    A. POWERPOINT INSTRUCTIONS: We recommend the PPT/PPTX/PDF format and all videos or animations in the presentation must run without Internet connectivity.
    B. PICTURES/VIDEOS: We cannot provide support for embedded videos in your presentation.
    C. FONTS: Only fonts that are included in the basic installation of MS-Windows will be available (English version of Windows). Use of other fonts not included in Windows can cause wrong layout/style of your presentation.
  • All Poster presenters will get 3 minutes for presenting the highlights of their work in a short oral presentation session.
  • Author (s) of accepted poster cum short oral presentation of PReMI-2019 is/are required to send a short presentation in PowerPoint or PDF formats(maximum of 3 (Three) slides including title/ affiliation slide, no animations or videos are possible for inclusion in slides) to PReMI-2019 organizer by email at premi2019tu@gmail.com on or before 7 Dec 2019. Kindly download the template of title slide from here.
  • Please note that the aim of short oral presentation before poster session is just to highlight the key idea or result that would attract the attendees to your poster and NOT to tell the audience about the details of your work.
  • Please make a poster of A0 (approximately, 2.7 feet by 3.9 feet) size in portrait mode.
  • All posters can be put up at the beginning of the day, on which your presentation is scheduled and removed at the end of the day.
  • All poster presenters should stand by their posters during the poster session to talk with attendees.
  • Kindly let us know a priori, if any poster presenter would also require a small table for demos of their work in addition to the poster stand.
NOTE : The authors will not have access to the computer presenting the slides. In particular, when the assigned 3 minutes get over, the display will switch to the title slide of the next presentation. Kindly prepare the short talk in advance and rehearse to stay on time.
