Brief biodata

Prof. Mrinal Kumar Das had obtained his M. Sc in Physics and Ph.D. degree from Gauhati University in Theoretical Physics. His research interest involve High Energy Physics (Theory & Phenomenology) in particular Physics beyond Standard model such as origin of neutrino masses and mixing, dark matter etc. Before joining in the department in 2009, Dr. Das was working as a scientist in Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) at Defecnce Laboratory, Jodhpur, under ministry of defence, Govt. of India. During his five years in DRDO, he was involved in many R & D related work for defence technology.

Research

Our research team is working on Physics Beyond Standard Model. In particular, we are working on the origin of neutrino masses and mixing; Neutrino Mass models and discrete flavor symmetry; Matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe; Dark Matter.
