Identification of rice (Oryza sativa L.) genes involved in sheath blight resistance via a genome-wide association study Single nucleotide polymorphism and haplotype-based Genome wide association study (GWAS) was performed on 259 rice varieties to assess their respoonses to rice Sheath Blight (SB) disease at three developmental stages i.e. seedlings, tillering and booting). A total of 653 genes were correlated with SB resistance. It was found that OsRSR1 and the protein kinase gene OsRLCK5 impart Sheath Blight resistance though glutathione-ascorbic acid antioxidant system. -- Wang et al. (2021) -- Download
Identification of candidate genes in rice for resistance to sheath blight disease by whole genome sequencing "Whole genome sequencing of 13 inbred rice lines was performed to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and key genes responsible for Sheath Blight(SB) resistance . A total of 333 SNPs differences were found between SB resistant and succeptible varieties." -- Silva et al. (2012) -- Download
