The department of Social Work, Tezpur University celebrated the World Social Work Day-2022 on 15th March 2022. In alignment with the theme, “ Co-building a New Eco Social World: Leaving No One Behind” the department organised various programme on the occasion. The focus of the programmes was to explore and understand the contribution and practice of social work profession in the region. Accordingly, various civil societies and community organisations working in the Sonitpur District were invited for interface with the faculties, scholars and students in the department. The experience of the participating organisation in diverse vertical resulted an enriching discussions on the issues and prospective of social work practices. Public lecture by social activist, Medha Patkar was also virtually organised to address the concern of the theme in the region. Besides those, Exhibition of Knowledge Innovation Installation and Food stalls, Hand craft stalls were also organised by students and different departments of the university on the occasion.
