A womens' initiative programme at Harijan Colony, Tezpur.

On the occasion of International Women's Day 8th March 2020, Chandraprabha Saikiani centre for Women Studies in collaboration with Dr. Ambedkar Chair and Dept. Of Social Work of Tezpur university organised a womens' initiative programme at Harijan Colony, Tezpur. KedilezoKikhi, Chair Professor, Dr. Ambedkar chair, chaired the programme.  Co-chaired by Dr. Madhurima Goswami Head, of Chandraprabha Saikiani Centre for Women Studies. D.R. Gautam, Mousumi Mahanta and other staff of the University were also present at the programme. The focus of the programme was health and hygiene. A short film on hygiene was shown in the programme. At last the women were trained how to make use of old clothes and make bags out of it. They were taught the skill of cutting on chart papers. The programme ended with an interaction between the University staff and the women of the colony.
