HOW TO REACH TEZPUR UNIVERSITY
For participants coming from outside the North East, the nearest train station and the airport is at Guwahati 187 km away from Tezpur town. It takes 4 hrs 30 minutes by Winger/Traveller vehicles to reach Tezpur from Paltan Bazar, Guwahati. The fare is Rs 170 to Rs 180. If you are coming either by train or by flight, go to Paltan Bazar Traveller/Winger Counters and book your ticket for Tezpur. From Airport to Paltan Bazar is 16 Km approximately and taxi fare for a passenger on share basis is Rs 200 to Rs 300/.
And at Tezpur don’t get down at Mission Chariali/Dolabari/Porwa but at ASTC Station only where the University Buses are available. If you get down at Mission Chariali/Dolabari/Porwa you have to hire an auto/tempo which will cost you minimum Rs 200/ to reach Tezpur University. Tezpur ASTC to TU is 16 km and it takes 45 minutes by University bus.
