Food and eateries of the campus
Students from across India and abroad are residing at Tezpur University Hostels.
University has provided different catering facilities to meet the needs of these diverse
cultural and ethnic groups of students.
Different canteens and eateries situated on the campus provide access to nutritional
food at accessible prices.
Regular checks are conducted by the University to ensure the quality, hygiene, and
nutation of the food.
The university has total 16 numbers of Hostels accommodating more than 4000
students. Every hostel has their individual mess run by the students for daily meals
(breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Apart from the regular mess, pantry facilities are
made available to the foreign students. Facilities are available to provide specialized
food for the students with health issues.
Facilities (24 X 7) are available for snacks and beverages in ten hostels.
Other than this, the university has two green grocers with fresh fruits and vegetables
and has two fresh fruit juice corners,
For the residence and visitors there are three restaurants on the campus (one SOE
Dhaba, Essential and one cafeteria.
Also, the University has a guest house equipped with a state of art kitchen and
banquet hall where everyday food is prepared for the guests and visitors of the
university.
University eateries provide the following types of foods.
1.Indian ethnic food
2.Chinese
3.Continental
4.Fresh fruits and vegetable
5.Packed milk, different kinds of chocolate, fish and other snacks.
6.The university has several lemon garden from where seasonally fresh fruits are sold
in low price.
