To avail the TEM Facility at SAIC, Registration is absolutely essential.
For Registration, users can send the requisition letter from Head/Guide on the
Organisation/ Department letterhead with advance payment in the form of demand draft/
Net banking.
Maximum Eight (8) samples can be registered.
Appointments will be given as per queue and user will be informed by email (approx. one week prior).
Samples other than powder form should be prepared at user end.
The Sample can be loaded on carbon coated Copper grid or can be made in disc form, 3mm diameter, with a
thinned (electron transparency) central area.
It is most desirable that the user is present in the TEM lab at the time of appointment for
better utilization of the facility.
Samples will be analysed only after getting the proper information (dispersion
medium/expected dimension and other properties of sample) for both external and
internal users. If the information is incomplete the samples and DD will be sent back to
the user.
