About the Department of Hindi

The Department of Hindi was established in January 2010. The Department aims to provide instruction in Hindi Literature, Language and various aspects of Functional Hindi. It also envisages to carry out meaningful and relevant research in Hindi Literature, Language, Folk- Lore, Comparative Literature, Translation Studies etc. The Department is running a Certificate Course in Official Hindi, Level-1 for the employees to help them to develop self-confidence and skill in writing and communicating in Hindi. The Department has also started M. A. Programme, Ph. D programme and Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Translation.

हिन्दी विभाग की स्थापना जनवरी 2010 में हुई है । विभाग का उद्देश्‍य हिन्दी भाषा, साहित्य और प्रयोजनमूलक हिंदी के विभिन्न पहलुओं में शिक्षा प्रदान करना है। साथ ही हिन्दी भाषा एवं साहित्य, लोकसाहित्य तुलनात्मक साहित्य, अनुवाद अध्ययन आदि जैसे ज्ञानानुशासन में सार्थक एवं प्रामाणिक अनुसंधान को पूर्ण करने की संकल्पना भी है। विभाग विश्‍वविद्यालय कर्मचारियों के लिए हिंदी में संवाद एवं लेखन कौशल के प्रति आत्‍मविश्‍वास विकसित करने हेतु छह माह का कार्यालयी हिंदी में प्रमाणपत्रीय पाठ़यक्रम संचालित करता है। इसके साथ ही विभाग में अनुवाद का स्नातकोत्तर डिप्लोमा कार्यक्रम, स्‍नातकोत्‍तर कार्यक्रम, और शोध कार्यक्रम भी संचालित है।
