Tezpur University:

Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in the year 1994 with a vision to develop human excellence and inculcate leadership through hard work and creativity. The University campus is located at Napaam about 15 km east of Tezpur town, the headquarters of the Sonitpur district of Assam. The University has been awarded as Visitor's Best University for the year 2016. The University has been ranked 5th among the Indian universities by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, through the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The University has recently (2016) been accredited with “A” grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Tezpur University ranked among top 800 universities in the world by Times Higher Education.
