The original Malayalam novel was translated into English by Catharine Thankamma which was published by Oxford University Press, New Delhi).   • A Special Lecture on the topic "Perspectives On Srimanta Sankaradeva And Sri Sri Madhavadeva" by distinguished litterateur and former President of Assam Sahitya Sabha Dr Lakshminandan Bora, 03 February 2017. "Sarvagunakara", a portrait of Srimanta Sankaradeva based on his images, by distinguished anthropologist Professor Irshad Ali was also unveiled on the occasion.
  • A Special Lecture on the topic “Srimanta Sankaradeva and Assamese Muslims” by distinguished Assamese poet, critic and scholar, Professor Kamaluddin Ahmed, Department of Assamese, Gauhati University, 11 November 2016.
  • A Special Lecture on "Manuscript Writing in Early Assam: Sancipat, Mahi and Hengul-Haital” - Prof Robin Dutta and an interactive session "On translating Newton's Principia into Assamese" - Prof Jayanta Kumar Sarma, 10 November 2016.

  • 15 September, 2016: The seventh Srimanta Sankaradeva Lecture, Tezpur university by Professor Baniprasanna Mistra, Former Derector, Centre for Himalayan Studies, University of North Bengal.
  • 7 June, 2016: The fifth Foundation Day Celebration with two lectures on (1)"Rewriting the History of Assamese Literature: the 18th Century” by Dr Satish Ch. Bhattacharya (2)"Rewriting the History of Assamese Literature: the 19th Century - Miles Bronson and His Times” by Professor Prasanta Kumar Das. And on this occassion the entire handwritten personal diaries of Sahityakandari Padmanath Gohain Baruah(1871-1946) were formally handed over to the Centre for Assamese Studies, Tezpur University.
  • 23 September, 2015: Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri J. P. Rajkhowa delivered a speech “Sankaradeva in the Koch Kingdom” organized by the Centre for Assamese Studies, Tezpur university.
  • 15 September, 2015: The Sixth Srimanta Sankaradeva Lecture, Tezpur University, 2015 was conducted. Professor Amiya Dev, Vice-Chancellor of Vidyasagar University delivered the lecture.
  • 5-6 August, 2015: A National Seminar on “Approaches to Sankaradeva: Text, Performance, representation and History” was organised by Srimanta Sankaradeva Chair and the Centre for Assamese Studies.
  • 7 June, 2015: The fourth Foundation Day was celebrated. As a part of the programme, two plays were staged by the university students and a poem recital was performed by Tezpur University campus children. The recital programme was directed by Professor Amarjyoti Choudhury, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Tezpur University.
  • 4-6 June, 2015: A Drama Workshop was conducted by well-known Assamese Actor/Director Baharul Islam.
  • 7 June, 2014: Third Foundation Day celebrated with a lecture by Dr. (Mrs.) Lakshmi Goswami, member, Board of Management, Tezpur University.
  • 3-4 April, 2014: The Centre for Assamese Studies of Tezpur University organized a two-day national seminar titled ‘Modern Assamese Society, Literature and Bezbaroa’ on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sahityarathi Lakshminath Bezbaroa.
