Monika Sharma

Monika Sharma has joined the group in July, 2019 as a PhD student. She has been awarded DST-INSPIRE Fellowship, Govt. of India to carry forward her doctoral research in September, 2021.She is promoted to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) effective form Feburary,2023. She did her B.Sc. in Physics from Sibsagar Girls’ College, Sibsagar and completed her masters in Nanoscience and Technology from Tezpur University in June, 2019 with 1st class 1st position. Her research area covers development and characterization of 0D, 1D, 2D/2D TMDCs based heterostructure for different sensing applications.

Saransha Mohanty

Saransha Mohanty has joined the group in July, 2019 as a PhD student. He did his B.Sc. in Physics from Centurion University of Technology and Management, Bhubaneswar and completed his masters in Material Science from Centurion University of Technology and Management in May 2017. His research interest focuses on Investigating light-matter interaction in 2D materials for promising applications using first principle density functional theory (DFT).

Liyenda Gogoi

Liyenda Gogoi has joined the research group in October 2020 as a Doctoral student. He did his B.Sc. in Physics from Dhemaji College Under Dibrugarh University and has completed his masters in Physics from Dibrugarh University with condensed matter physics as specialization with 1st class 2nd position in October 2020. He has also qualified CSIR (NET)-JRF June 2019 in Physical Science.

Sayoree Purakayastha

Sayoree Purakayastha has joined the group in October 2020 as a doctoral student. She has completed her Bachelors in Physics from University of Delhi, and pursued M.Sc. in Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh in October 2020. Her research interests lie in the application of nanomaterials for biological purposes, and she is currently focusing on MR Imaging, Bioimaging, etc.

Anil Kumar Singh

Anil Kumar Singh has joined the group in October 2021 as a doctoral student. Later on, he has been appointed as 'Junior Research Fellow' for ASEAN-India Collaborative R&D project. He has completed his B.Sc. in Physics from Gargaon College under Dibrugarh University in the year of 2017 and M.Sc. with Condensed Matter Physics as specialization in 2019 from Assam University. He has also qualified GATE-2021 and NE SLET-2021 in Physical Sciences.

Deepshekhar Roy

Deepshekhar Roy joined the research group in September, 2022 as a PhD student. He did his graduation in Physics from B.N. College, Dhubri. Thereafter, he completed M.Sc. in Condensed matter physics and Spectroscopy as specialization from Gauhati University in 2022 with 1st class.

Snehasish Deb

Snehasish Deb joined the research group in August, 2023 as a PhD student. He did his graduation in Physics from Karimganj College, Karimganj. He then pursued masters in Physics with Nanophysics and Electronics as specialization from Gauhati University in 2021 with 1st class. He has also qualified GATE-2024 and NE SLET-2023 in Physical Science.

Jafard Ahmed

Jafard Ahmed has joined the group in January, 2024 as a PhD student. He has done his B.Sc in Physics from Sibsagar College in 2021. He has completed M.Sc in Physics with specialization in Space Physics from Dibrugarh University in 2023 securing the 1st class 1st position.
