Research

Our research group focuses on the development of a variety of functional materials and their potential applications in surface and interfaces, quantum phenomena in advanced energy materials, biomedical imaging, condensed matter and material science in quantum technology, environmental remediation etc. Our research interests include understanding property of magnetic secondary nanostructures, development of smart molecular imaging probes and electronic property of two dimensional materials and their heterostructures. The structure-property correlation study is the common theme of research in these areas pursued by the group. We have further extended our interest in studying electronic properties of materials through Density Functional Theory (DFT) platform to various research domains such as transport phenomenon of Janus system, twistronics, altermagnetism, valley-physics, topological materials and many more that requires solution of many-electron interacting Schrödinger equation.
