Function

The CPPG functions independently under the aegis of Tezpur University. The advisory body comprises of members from various fields, including the bureaucracy, academia, civil societies, corporations, and media, who are involved in policy-making. The Governing Body comprises of multidisciplinary faculty representatives from all participating departments. The operational team comprises of faculty and research scholars of the University.

1. Policy and governance research: The CPPG aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research, engaging members of the university as well as key policy stakeholders, for evidence-based policymaking
2. Knowledge hub for policy and governance: The CPPG aims to build capacity and disseminate knowledge on policy and governance through interdisciplinary dialogues, seminars, and workshops that bring together students, scholars, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
3. Policy Dialogue: The CCPG engages with the university departments, governments, civil society, private players, and other policy influencers through research, dialogues, trainings, workshops, events and conferences.
4. Focus on North East India: The North East region of India is undergoing rapid development and the CPPG aims to play a crucial in meeting the policy and governance needs of the region.
