Dr. Manashita Borah joined the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE), Tezpur University, Assam, India in 2016. She is a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright fellowship at University of California, Berkeley, USA (2022-2023). She is a Young Engineer Awardee 2018 from Institution of Engineers. Describing her research contributions as "exemplary" and "impeccable" , the DST Govt. of Assam awarded her with the Young Scientist Award 2019 . She is the first woman to win this award. She leads the Control System Design Laboratory in the Department of EE, where her research group is focusing on Energy storage control, AI integrated renewable energy, control systems, electric vehicle technology, Magnetic vehicle and nonlinear dynamics. Her work is multidisciplinary comprising Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and relevant disciplines. Apart from being conferred with prestigious awards and having publications in reputed journals, she has been actively associated with various departmental, academic and co-curricular activities of the university, such as dance, drama, yoga, etc. She has a Bisharad in Indian classical dance. |
