Note:
1.  Class Assignments - There will be multiple class assignments during the
    entire course, each requiring about 10 minutes of work. There will be no
    prior notice for such assignments. Scores in all of these except the one
    with lowest score shall be considered. No separate consideration of any
    kind of absence shall be made.

2.  Home Assignments - Questions shall be provided for homework. However
    evaluation shall be through a test  based on these questions.

3.  Laboratory assignments - Laboratory work shall be evaluated in all the
    laboratory classes in the semester through small tests and viva-voce.

4.  Skill Demostration - Each student shall decide a way of demostration of
    his/her skill/competence in the subject. It may be a seminar on recent
    topic, analysis of some theory, software, etc. This should be intimated
    to the instructor by Feb 25. The weightage in this evaluation component
    may be increased for the entire class upto 30, if found appropriate. If
    no such demonstration plan is found suitable, 5 weightage points shall be
    considered based on the instructor's impression of a student.

5.  No make-up provision shall be there for any of the evaluation components
    for any absence. In acceptable cases some projected points from the
    end-term evaluation of a student may be counted against missed
    evaluation components. The suitability of a case for such adjustment
    shall be decided by the departmental authorities.
