Class Assignments - There will be multiple class assignments during the
    entire course, each requiring about 10 minutes of work. There will be no
    prior notice for such assignments. Scores in all of these except the one
    with lowest score shall be considered. No separate consideration of any
    kind of absence shall be made.

Home Assignments - There shall several exercises for practice at home.
    Evaluation will be based on two tests based on the concepts covered in the
    exercises. Dates for the tests shall be specified later.

Laboratory assignments, proficiency and viva-voce - There shall be several
    laboratory assignments for the semester. Evaluation shall be based on
    written tests and viva-voce based on those exercises. Dates for the tests
    shall be specified later.

Perseverence and discipline in Lab - The behaviour of each student in the
    laboratory periods shall be monitored and graded. Important aspects to be
    observed are - regularity, punctuality, sincerity of efforts to solve the
    given assignments, avoidance of doing things not relevant to the system
    software course, awareness regarding judicious utilization of available
    resources, general discipline, etc.
