Geetanjali (Ramdhenu) to Unicode (UTF-8) Converter

The Geetanjali font is widely used font in print houses. The Geetanjali to Unicode converter has been written with the primary intention of being able to create Assamese Unicode text conveniently. The authors would be grateful if users of this program send any text written for input to converter program to the address utpal@tezu.ernet.in or navanathsaharia@gmail.com.

Pre-requirement:

  1. Java Run Time environment (tested on jre 1.6)
  2. Geetanjali font
  3. Solaiman lipi font

Please fill up the form and send it to us by e-mail. It is a free of charge application. We only keep track of user iformation for our purpose.

How to use: Windows user

Double click on the Geet.jar file
Paste Geetanjali text into the first text box
click on convert button

If you have multiple text(.txt) file, click on the file conversion button
Select files using ctrl key (There is one test file inside input directory)
click ok.

You will find all the converted utf-8 encoded file in the source directory.

How to use: Linux user

Open command prompt, change directory to Geet directory and type
java -jar Geet.jar
