Yoga has been a movement in Tezpur University. Though, the practice of Yoga had been a compulsory part of some departments of the university, but the formal introduction of Yoga as an ’add on course’ for students started from August 2010. It started from the premises of the Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre. For a temporary period it operated from a room in the shopping mall and finally it was shifted to the present location.
