PROF. C.N.R. RAO at Tezpur University

Distinguished Linus Pauling Professor of Jawarharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru

Professor C.N.R. Rao is at Tezpur University to present the inaugural lecture of the Frontier Lecture Series in Chemistry being organized under the aegis of JNCASR in collaboration with the Department of Chemical Sciences, Tezpur University during November 20-22, 2009. Professor Rao will present his oration at the Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Auditorium at 5 pm on 20.11.2009.

On November 21, 2009, the “Learning Science” programme – a programme for the School Children - is also organized at the Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Auditorium at 10:30 am. Prof. C.N.R. Rao will present the Theme Lecture in the programme and Mrs. Indumati Rao will be presenting a Multi-media presentation in the function. The Honb’le Minister of Education, Government of Assam, Shri Gautam Bora will be the Special Guest in the function.

Apart from Professor Rao, a galaxy of eminent scientists of the country including Professor V. Krishnan, Professor Kankan Bhattacharyya and Professor V. Chandrasekhar will deliver lectures in the Frontier Lecture Series. The inaugural lecture will be held at the KBPR Auditorium while the other lectures of the Series will be presented at the Council Hall.
