Outreach on the occasion of the World Heritage Day 2022

On the occasion of the World Heritage Day on 18 April, a series of sensitizing interactions with the school children of two schools was carried out by the Department of Cultural Studies.

Interactive sessions on heritage themes were organized at Napaam M. V. School and Kendriya Vidyalaya, CUT. The sessions were coordinated by Dr. Subhra Devi, Assistant Curator of the Department of Cultural Studies. Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Borah, student of the fourth semester of 2020-22 batch, engaged the school students with his creative theatrical skills on significance of heritage. Mr. Jyotishman Sarmah, another fourth semester student, helped in photographic documentation of the sessions. Dr. Juri Gogoi Konwar, Dr, Moushumi Kandali and Dr. Parasmoni Dutta, faculty members of the Department of Cultural Studies, TU, Mr. Bimal Gogoi, Headmaster of the Napaam M. V. School and Mr. D. K. Sharma, Vice Principal of KVCUT, interacted with the school children on importance of heritage and the heritage-day.
