Dr. Mousumi Kandali and Dr Madhurima Goswami addressed the students of MA and PhD programs respectively and discussed different issues on Good Academic Research Practices (GARP), through the platform of Google-meet. Both of them highlighted the good research practices and ethics sharing their own research experiences. They emphasised the importance of the Code of Ethics and Integrity while doing research. According to Dr. Goswami, honesty and values of the researchers largely influence the data collected as well as the conclusion at last. To gather the authentic or sensible data the researcher might face difficulties in the field or in analyzing other secondary data, but what the researchers should never be is frustrated with the work. Dr. Kandali said that patience and devotion on the work leads to the result in a good research work. The researcher is not alone in the journey of doing their research but it is a team work. Overall, it was a very enlightening and fruitful talk for the students and scholars present in the program that would definitely help them in carrying out their research studies.
