Celebration of World Heritage Week 2021

The World Heritage Week, during 19 to 25 November 2021, was celebrated in the Department of Cultural Studies through a range of activities organized by the students in the department. The various events include invited lecture, photography competition, quiz competition, poster-making competition, cultural performances, movie-screening, material exhibition and a jamming session in the finale. Ms. Ngutoli Y Swu, a doctoral scholar of the department, delivered a lecture on The Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Sumi Nagas: The Interconnectedness on 22 November 2021, in the online mode. Mr. Abhinash Bharalai, a former student of the department, screened one short documentary, titled, Chang Kobowaa. A number of performances of song and dance were presented by the students of the MA 2020-2022 batch.
