The faculty member of the Department of Cultural Studies, TU, met in the Department today at 12 noon to observe two-minute silence on the sudden demise of Professor Phanindra Narayan Dutta Baruah on 01.10.2021. Prof. Dutta Baruah, who served as the Head of the Department of Cultural Studies during the period from 26.05.2003 to 10.02.2004, tendered unique contribution to the growth of the Department and well-being of its students. His untimely demise is an irreparable loss for the academic fraternity. We pray for the eternal peace of his departed soul and stand by his family in this hour of grief and loss.
