The SERB school on "Observational Astronomy" is being held for the first time in the north eastern part of India. The school aims at providing the participants with information and hands on training on different topics of observational astronomy. The school will cover a wide spectra of astronomy and astrophysics like optical, ultraviolet, infrared, X-ray and radio astronomy among others. The presence of a large student community is expected to provide a vibrant atmosphere.
