For this experiment, you have to choose a combination of masses m2 and m3, and locate
the equilibrium of point P in terms of angles θ2 and θ3. The mass m1 is fixed at a value of 20 kg.
Take at least three readings.
For each of the readings
Take the screenshot of the equilibrium configuration.
Perform force balancing in any two independent directions and verify that the system is in equilibrium.
Draw the free body diagram of point P in the equilibrium configuration.
Using parallelogram law, draw the resultant of the forces corresponding to masses m2 and m3 and verify that it is equal and opposite to that of the force corresponding to mass m1 .
Verify Lami's Theorem
Set the masses (Input)
m1=20 kg
Move the slider for setting the mass m2:
m2 = (kg)
Move the slider for setting the mass m3:
m3= (kg)
