COMPUTING FACILITY

     For the use of the students, a state of the art computer laboratory has been set up in the Department with partial assistance from the Department of Science and Technology(DST). The laboratory is well equipped with 2 high performance servers, 1 workstation and 35 desktops (P4 and Core processor). Out of the 2 server one is Linux based basically used for programming purpose and another is Windows based file server. One Linux based Workstation is also used for programming purpose. The laboratory is equipped with the latest scientific and mathematical software packages such as Octave, Scilab, FORTRAN, C, C++ compilers, Python, Latex etc.

     All the computers in the laboratory are fully networked and is linked with the central computer center via LAN having access to the INTERNET. Internet access is available 24 hours a day. The laboratory is looked after by one System Analyst.
