Academic Regulations 2019
This Regulations on Academic Matters - 2019 (Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes) of Tezpur University embodies regulations relating to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes offered by Tezpur University.

Departmental Governance
Board of Studies (BoS)
Address the Curriculum Design. Department Faculty along with two external members (one from Academic and other one from Industry) and two students are the members of this committee. Head of the Department is the Chairman of the committee.
Departmental Advisory Committee (DAC)
Address the Functioning of the Department. Department Faculty along with one external member (from other Department of the University) and two students (One PhD student and other one from MTech Second Year) are the members of this committee. Head of the Department is the Chairman of the committee.
Departmental Research Committee (DRC)
Address the Research activity and the work related to the PhD students of the Department. Department Faculty (with PhD) along with two external member (from other Department of the University) and one PhD student are the members of this committee. Head of the Department is the Chairman of the committee.
Departmental Purchase Committee (DPC)
Address all the purchase of the Department. Representative of the University Purchase Section, Finance Section, one Faculty from the Department are the members of the committee. Head of the Department is the Chairman of the committee.
Doctoral Committee (DC)
Supervisor (s) and three Faculty are the members of the DC of each PhD student. Each PhD student has separate Doctoral Committee.
Department Academic Integrity Panel (DAIP)
This committee is constituted as per UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in HEI) Regulation 2018.
Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC)
Address the Student Grievance of the Department. Two Faculty and students (one from each programme) are the members of this committee. The committee submits its report to DAC for necessary actions.
Student Appeal Committee (SAC)
Address the issues related to the marks/grading of the students. Students need to appeal as per the guidelines of the University to the appeal committee. Three Faculty of the Department are the members of the committee. The committee submits its report to Head of the Department for necessary actions.
Student Mentorship (SM)
Each Student is assigned to a particular Faculty. Faculty member plays a crucial role in the success of the student. Mentor advice the student through an interpersonal engagement that facilitates sharing guidance, experience and expertise.
Anti-Ragging Committee (ARC)
Address the anti-ragging activity of the Department. It also does the counseling of the newly admitted student. Faculty, Senior students of the Department are the members of the committee. Head of the Department is the Chairman of the committee.
