Ph.D.(Computer Science & Engineering)
The Department has research programme leading to the Ph. D. degree. The areas of research include : Computer and Network Security Biomimetic and Cognitive Robotics Parallel Processing Image Processing and Pattern Recognition Multimedia Systems Cryptology & Cryptography Information Systems Natural Language Processing Soft Data Mining Content-based Retrieval & Indexing Mobile Code Security. Students can register for Ph.D. work on full-time as well as part time basis. Financial assistance may be available to full-time students under the schemes of research assistant and project assistant. Detailed particulars for Ph.D. registration are available with the Controller of Examinations.
Eligibility:	To register for the research programme the candidate must possess (i) an M.Tech in Computer Science/IT/Electronics, or (ii) an M. Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or (iii) an MCA degree, or (iv) a B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/IT/Electronics with 80% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA with valid GATE score in CS.
Admission Procedure:	Through interview/Written Test. Notification for Admission is usually issued in February, and September.
