This programme was started in July, 1994 with a view to produce high quality information system professionals. The students of the MCA programme undergo intensive theoretical and practical training in various aspects of Computer Science and Information System development. The first batch of MCAs from the Department graduated in June, '97.

Eligibility:

Passed any graduation degree (e.g.: B.E. / B.Tech./ B.Sc / B.Com. / B.A./ B. Voc./ BCA etc.,) preferably with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduation level.
Obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
45% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category

Admission Procedure:

Candidates will be selected based on the performance in the TUEE (Tezpur University Entrance Exam) to be conducted through CBT mode across India by Tezpur University and CUET-PG (COMMON UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE TEST - PG) conducted by NTA.

80% of the seats is reserved for TUEE qualified candidates and 20% of seat is reserved for CUET-PG qualified candidates.

TUEE consists of the following three components:

Logical reasoning
Mathematics of 10+2 level and Computer Science (basic level)
English Comprehension
