10+2 standard or equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent grade point, where applicable and pass marks or equivalent grade point in i) Physics, ii) Mathematics, ii) Language, iv) Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical vocational subject (any one of them) and v) any other subject and qualifying JEE. |
Admission Procedure: |
Candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme are required to appear in the JEE (Main). All admission shall be on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Rank/CRL held in the current year.
- 60% of available B. Tech. seats are reserved for the permanent residents of North East States. Candidates from NE States who fill-up Tezpur University application form shall be considered for the reserved seats. The applicants desiring a seat under NE quota must upload a PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate issued by the competent authority of any of the North Eastern states) along with the form. However, these applicants may also be eligible to get admitted to the open seats through central counselling procedure.
- Admission to the remaining 40% open seats shall be made through the central counselling i.e. Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) based on JEE (Main)
The prospectus and form for applying for B. Tech. Programme is normally available from the Month of February to April every year and can be downloaded from the University website.
