1. Coinciding with the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas, an awareness-cum-counseling programme was held on November 18, 2023, at Khelmati High School under Bandarmari Panchayat in the Sonitpur District of Assam which is a tribal-majority area. In the programme, Dr. Biren Das, Registrar, and Dr. Rajeev K. Doley, Director, Centre for Inclusive Development of the University delivered lectures and presented books for benefit of the School students. 2. National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of the University also carried out a series of awareness campaigns in the nearby tribal dominated villages making the villagers aware of the current educational status of the community, identifying challenges, and exploring avenues for improvement. They discussed the importance of literacy, access to quality education, and vocational training to enhance livelihood opportunities within the community. They also interacted with the villagers to identify the needs and challenges faced by them. 3. Dr. Rajeev K. Doley, Director-CID, took part as a resource person in a SSB training programme and delivered a lecture on “Communication Skills for Service Personnel” in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Training Centre, Salonibari, Tezpur, on October 19, 2023, where 80 personnel participated. 4. Dr. Rajeev K. Doley, Director-CID, delivered a lecture on “Soft Skills for Service Personnel” in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) Training Centre, Salonibari, Tezpur, on September 22, 2023, in which 100 SSB personnel participated. 5. As a part of the outreach activities of the Centre, Dr. Rajeev K. Doley, Director-CID, delivered a lecture on “The importance of communication skills in career building in today’s world” for the students of Murkongselek College, Jonai in the Dhemaji district of Assam on August 26, 2023. 6. A webinar on “Job Opportunities in the Private Sector: Scope and Avenues” was organised by CID, Tezpur University. The information about the programme was circulated via social networking platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, the University website, and emails. 7. A webinar on “How to prepare for various Competitive Exams.” was organised by the CID, Tezpur University. The information about the programme was circulated via social networking platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, the University website, and emails. In the programme, 67.32 per cent of participants were from Tezpur University, while 32.67 per cent were from outside the university. 8. A webinar on “Job Opportunities in the Public Sector” was organised by Centre for Inclusive Development (CID) Tezpur University. 9. An Outreach Programme was organized by the Centre for Inclusive Development, TU, in collaboration with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Sonitpur, on the occasion of Children’s Day at SOFTSEED (an orphanage), CCI, Nikamul, Tezpur. Various fun-based educative activities were conducted in the form of competitions in painting, memory test, story-telling, games to teach health and hygiene and moral values, etc. where all participants were awarded prizes. A session was also conducted to enlighten the inmates on the importance of Children’s Day and its teachings. Later, prizes were distributed in presence of the top officials of the CWC, DCPU and CID-TU. 10. The PGDCRG Students conducted an “Awareness Camp on Child Rights” at Napaam Model Heigh School, Sonitpur, where children and parents from the Amolapam Village participated apart from the children and teachers of the School. 11. The PGDCRG students celebrated the International Women’s Day with the school children of Napaam Model School, Sonitpur District. A special session was conducted on ‘menstruation hygiene’ for the girl students of the school and also those who attended from the nearby villages. The award-winning movie “Period: End of Sentence” was also screened for the school students and participants from the nearby villages. 12. Organized a day long National Seminar on Emancipation of students with disabilities in Science and Technology . In this programme 19 participants were from Tezpur University and 49 perticipants were from different institutions, NGOs across India , like: IIRDDA, Barpeta medical College, USTM, Khanapara, Rangapara, Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati University. 13. Organized a Health Camp in collaboration with Tezpur University Health Centre at Nabaprabhat Ashram (an orphanage), Sonitpur, where general health check-ups were conducted on the inmates of the orphanage. Free medicines were provided to those inmates who needed them. The PGDCRG students also conducted two sessions on cleanliness and self-protection for the inmates. 14. Coinciding with the Children’s Day, a day-long programme titled “Learn with Fun” was organized at Napaam Model School, Sonitpur District, where various activities were conducted with the school children including activities to teach the necessities of maintaining cleanliness at home and school, on personal hygiene, etc. Tezpur University Outreach Programme Novemner 14, 2018 Total participants: 50-70, including 12 of PGDCRG students & Faculty , staf members.

16. A week-long Field Immersion Programme was organized by the CID-TU in Sivasagar District in collaboration with the Children and Adolescent Cell (DCAC) of Sivasagar district. In this programme, various outreach activities were conducted such as organizing educative interactive sessions with the children, parents and villagers of tea tribe inhabited areas of the district. The programme also included special sessions on educating and practically showing how adolescents can visit government offices and get things done themselves. 17. Observational Visits to soft seed (orphanage) and PAJRA (NGO) were organized by the CID-TU and the District Child Protection UNIT (DCPU), Sonitpur, where interactions with the inmates were conducted to understand their conditions and problems, if any and to enlighten them of the opportunities available for their education and liveihood.
