Subject to verification of original documents and satisfaction of the minimum requirement of qualification, the candidates in the attached lists are provisionally selected for admission /waitlisted for chance admission to the various programmes of studies 2015-16, based on their performance in TUEE- 2015.

 Admission of the candidates from the Merit list will be held during 22nd and 23rd July, 2015 (two days) in the respective departments/centres and admission from the Waiting list (subject to availability of seats) will be held on 24th July, 2015 (one day) only in the specified venue as shown below:

The presence of the candidate at the time of admission is mandatory. In case a candidate fails to report for admission on the specified date and time he/ she will forfeit his/ her chance for admission. The candidate will be required to produce the relevant documents in original for verification and submit attested copies of the same for record and future reference.

It is to be noted that new academic session will start on 27th July, 2015. Hostel seats to the admitted students will be available from 26th July, 2015. Course registration and counselling will be done on 27th July, 2015 in the department concerned. The candidate should come for attending classes accordingly.             

If a candidate is continuously absent from the class for a week during the first month without permission from the Head of the Department concerned his/her seat will be cancelled without notice. Request for extension of time and date of admission will not be considered under any circumstances.  

CALL LETTERS WILL NOT BE ISSUED TO THE CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION.

All reasonable care has been taken to ensure accuracy in the results published herein and errors detected will be rectified as per rules.

The credential verification of the candidates of the Merit list, hostel seat allotment and payment of fees will be done in the respective departments by the faculty members assigned for the admission duty under the supervision of the Head of the Department. However, in case of wait listed candidates the credential verification, hostel seat allotment and payment of fees will be done centrally at both the venues.

 Payment of fees by the candidates of Merit List: The candidates of the Merit List shall deposit the requisite amount of admission fees through the prescribed Bank Challan in the 'State Bank of India Power Jyoti Account of Tezpur University (i.e. a/c number is 31223174021) from any branch of State Bank of India prior to the date of admission and produce the copy of the receipt with signature of the bank official and seal at the time of admission.  

Payment of fees by the candidates of Waiting List: The Wait Listed candidates shall pay the requisite amount of admission fee in cash. The Finance Officer will arrange to collect the admission fee from the admitted candidates of the Waiting List in the two admission halls. The Finance Officer is also requested to inform the State Bank of India, Tezpur University Branch to depute officials for collection of fees.

The Heads of the Departments will submit the programme wise list of the students admitted from the Merit List with number of vacant seats by the evening of second day of the admission (i.e. 23rd July, 2015) to the Controller of Examinations for uploading on the website.

Candidates under SSS will be admitted in some programmes from the waiting list of general category on merit basis.  

 

Relevant documents to be submitted

1.       Pass certificates of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent examination conducted by the Board/ Council.

2.       Mark sheets/ grade cards of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent examination conducted by the Board/ Council.

3.       A character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.

4.       Valid SC/ST /OBC-NCL/ Persons with Disability (PWD) certificate issued by the competent authority for those selected under reserved category.

5.       Latest OBC-Non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority for the candidates claiming admission against OBC- NCL seats.

6.       Certificate of HSLC / class 10 as proof of Date of Birth.

7.       Permanent Resident Certificate of any of the NE states in the prescribed format in case of M. Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology programme only.

8.       Gap certificate from the District Police Authority or Court Affidavit, in case of a gap of one year or more in study after the qualifying examination.

9.       Three copies of recent passport size photograph.

10.    Court affidavits in non- judicial stamp paper signed by the candidate and parents/ guardian and countersigned by the Oath Commissioner (Notary) as per the attached formats. The candidates are advised to visit the website www.ugc.ac.in  or  www.tezu.ernet.in for UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009.

11.    The candidates will also be required to submit the attached undertaking duly filled in and signed by the candidate and his / her parent/ guardian along with other documents at the time of admission.

13.    Sponsorship Certificate/NOC form the employer in case of sponsored candidates/employed.

14.    Proof of taking all the examinations (both theory and practical) at the time of admission duly certified by the Principal/ Head of the Institution last attended, in case the result of the qualifying examinations is awaited.
