Admission to B. Tech. programme (NE seats)

Subject to verification of original documents, satisfaction of the minimum qualification requirements and medical examinations, the candidates listed below have been provisionally selected on merit basis for counselling and admission/chance admission to B.Tech. programme in the University for the academic session 2017-18. The seats available for different categories under NE reserve seats are given below:

 

Gen-78, OBC (NCL)-41, SC-26, ST-11, PWD-5, Total-161, SSS-20

 

The candidates are required to report to the in-charge of admission at the Admission Hall (at KBR Auditorium), Tezpur University campus at specified time and date given in the list for counselling, credential verification and admission/chance admission. The presence of the candidates at the time of admission is mandatory. The candidates shall have to produce the documents stated below in original for verification and submit self attested copies of the same for submission during admission:

 

1.       PRC of any of the NE states issued by the competent authority (candidates failing to produce PRC in original will forfeit the seat. Court affidavit, proof of applying for PRC etc. will not be accepted).

2.       JEE (main) score card.

3.       Pass certificates of  Class X  and  10+2 examinations conducted by the Board/ Council.

4.       Mark sheets/grade cards of  Class X and  10+2 examinations conducted by the Board/ Council.

5.       A character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.

6.       Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination showing the date of Birth.

7.      Valid SC/ ST/ OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/ PWD certificate issued by the competent authority for claiming admission under reserved category (candidate failing to produce the certificate will be treated as General candidate).

8.       Latest OBC-(NCL) certificate issued by the competent authority for the candidates claiming admission against OBC (NCL) seats ( it should not be more than one year old).

9.       Gap certificate from the District Police Authority/ Court affidavit, in case of a gap of one year or more in study after passing 10+2 examination..

10.   The candidates will also be required to submit an undertaking duly filled in and signed by the candidates and his/ her parent/ guardian along with other documents at the time of admission.

11.   Migration Certificate.

12.   Two copies of recent passport size photograph.

 

The candidates will be required to bring the prescribed amount of fee in cash on the specified date for admission. It is to be noted that new academic session will start on 25.07.2017 and course registration will be done in the department concerned on the same day. Hostel seats will be allotted subject to availability and the allotted hostel seats may be occupied by the students on 24.07.2017.

 

If a candidate is continuously absent from the class for a week during the first month without permission from the Head of the concerned Department his/her seat will be cancelled without notice.

 

 

Prescribed Admission fee –

1.       Rs.32303/- (candidates of B.Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology programme will have to pay an additional fee of Rs.1200/- per semester on account of consumables). SC/ST students are exempted from paying hostel seat rent of Rs.675/- .

2.       SSS fee: Rs.82503/-  (candidates of B. Tech. in Food Engineering and Technology programme will have to pay an additional fee of Rs.6000/- per semester on account of consumables). SC/ST students are exempted from paying hostel seat rent of Rs.675/-.

3.       Hostel menial charge of Rs.1500/- will have to be deposited after the admission by the candidates in the SBI A/c No. 31039472414 of Tezpur University through Bank deposit slip and the candidate will have to submit the counterfoil of the deposit slip with name and roll no. to the concerned Hostel Warden at the time of hostel seat occupation.

 

NO SEPARATE CALL LETTER WILL BE ISSUED TO THE CANDIDATE FOR ADMISSION.
