Admission to B. Tech. programme (seats reserves for NE candidates)

               

Subject to verification of original documents, satisfaction of the minimum qualification requirements and medical examinations, the candidates listed below have been provisionally selected on merit basis for counselling and admission/chance admission to B.Tech. programme in the University for the academic session 2018-19. The seats available for different categories under NE reserve seats are given below:

 

 

Gen-83, OBC (NCL)-44, SC-27, ST-12, PWD-9, Total-175

(10% additional seats may be filled up to avoid second round of counselling)

 

Candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria will only be considered for counselling:

‘10+2 or equivalent examination with pass marks in (1) Physics, (2) Mathematics, (3) Language, (4) any subject (Chemistry, Biology, Biotech, Technical vocational subjects), (5) Any other subject and with minimum 60% (55% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) marks in above subjects taken together’.

 

The candidates are required to report to the in-charge of admission at the Admission Hall, Tezpur University, Napaam at specified time and date given in the list for counselling, credential verification and admission/chance admission. The candidates are required to be present at the time of admission for branch selection and signing various forms. The candidates shall have to produce the documents stated below in original for verification and submit self attested copies of the same for official record during admission:

 

 

1.       PRC of any of the NE states issued by the competent authority (candidates failing to produce PRC in original will forfeit the seat. Court affidavit, proof of applying for PRC etc. will not be accepted).

2.       JEE (main) score card.

3.       Printout of Tezpur University Application Form submitted through online.

4.       Pass certificates of Class X and 10+2 examinations conducted by the Board/ Council.

5.       Mark sheets/grade cards of Class X and 10+2 examinations conducted by the Board/ Council.

6.       A character certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.

7.       Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination showing the date of Birth.

8.      Valid SC/ ST/ OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/ PWD certificate issued by the competent authority for claiming admission under reserved category (candidate failing to produce the certificate will be treated as Unreserved  category candidate).

9.       Latest OBC-(NCL) certificate issued by the competent authority for the candidates claiming admission against OBC (NCL) seats (it should not be more than one year old). Candidates producing OBC certificate but not producing NCL will be treated as unreserved.

10.   Gap certificate issued by the District Police Authority/ Court affidavit, in case of a break in study for more than one year after passing 10+2 examination.

11.   The candidates will also be required to submit an undertaking duly filled in and signed by the candidates and his/ her parent/ guardian along with other documents at the time of admission.

12.   Migration Certificate.

13.   Two copies of recent passport size photograph.

 

The candidates will be required to bring the prescribed amount of fee in cash on the specified date for admission.

 

It is to be noted that new academic session will start on 25.07.2018 and course registration will be done by the Dean, School of Engineering on the same day. Hostel seats will be allotted subject to availability and the allotted hostel seats may be occupied by the students on 24.07.2018.

 

If a candidate is continuously absent from the class for a week during the first month without permission from the Dean of School of Engineering his/her seat will be cancelled without notice.

After first round of admission on 16th July, 2018, vacancy position of seats will be notified on the Tezpur University website. Candidates of List C and List D (OBC-NCL, SC, ST) are requested to visit the website for ensuring the vacancy in the respective category before proceeding for chance admission on 18.07.2018.
