 The presence of the candidate at the time of admission is mandatory. In case a candidate fails to report for admission on the specified date and time he/ she will forfeit his/ her chance for admission. The candidate will be required to produce the documents stated below in original for verification and submit attested copies of the same for record and future reference.

 

  1. Pass certificates of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent examination conducted by the Board/ Council.
  2. Mark sheets/ grade cards of all examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent examination conducted by the Board/ Council.
  3. A character certificate from the head of the institution last attended.
  4. Valid SC/ST /OBC-NCL/ Persons with Disability (PWD) certificate issued by the competent authority for those selected under reserved category.
  5. Latest OBC-Non-creamy layer certificate in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority for the candidates claiming admission against OBC- NCL seats.
  6. Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination for Date of Birth.
  7. Gap certificate from the District Police Authority or Court Affidavit, in case of a gap of one year or more in study after the qualifying examination.
  8. Three copies of recent passport size photograph.
  9. The candidate will also be required to bring the court affidavits in non- judicial stamp paper signed by the candidate and parents/ guardian and countersigned by the Oath Commissioner (Notary) as per the attached formats. The candidates are advised to visit the website www.ugc.ac.in  or  www.tezu.ernet.in for UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009. The candidates will also be required to submit the attached undertaking (click here for undertaking) duly filled in and signed by the candidate and his /her parent/ guardian along with other documents at the time of admission.

 

Candidates failing to produce documents (except the certificate and marksheet of the qualifying examination for those who have appeared the qualifying exam.) will not be admitted.

The candidate is also required to bring the prescribed fee (click here for Prescribed Fee) in cash or in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Tezpur University payable at Tezpur on the specified date for admission.

 It is to be noted that new academic session will start on 2nd August, 2010. Hostel seats to the admitted students will be available from 30.07.2010. Course registration and counselling will be done in the department concerned on 30.07.2010. The candidate should come for attending classes accordingly.

 If a candidate is continuously absent from the class for a week during the first month without permission from the Head of the Department concerned his/her seat will be cancelled without notice. Request for extension of time and date of admission will not be considered under any circumstances. Bus service from Tezpur ASTC bus stand to Tezpur University will be available at 8.10 a.m.  

 All reasonable care has been taken to ensure accuracy in the results published herein and errors detected will be rectified as per rules.
