Tezpur University being a Central University strictly adheres to the guidelines of the Government of India as communicated by the MHRD and the UGC with respect to the uplift of the students and employees belonging to the SC/ST categories. To this end, the University has created an SC/ST Cell headed by a Liaison Officer drawn from the faculty. The day-to-day functioning of the SC/ST Cell is looked after by an Assistant Registrar. The Cell is also guided by an Advisory Committee.
